- Call to Order – 4:01 p.m.

- Excused:
- Previous Meeting Minutes approved: Minutes have been approved
- School Board Information by School Board President Amber Shill
- Board approved funding for Brighton to add a teen center and a daycare center.
- Board considering a boundary study due to changes in the number of students attending district schools. The study will follow state guidelines which include making a decision to close any schools by December.
- Next school year’s plan: Submitted – pending approval

- Review to ensure we are on course with Current Year’s:
- LAND Trust Plan
- Will be under 10% that can be rolled over for 2024-2025 budget
- Change to allow full day subs for teacher team planning in Fall
- TSSP extra funds used to purchase I-pads for STEM Lab
- Extra funds to get under 10% will be used to purchase new equipment for recess

- Reading and Math data will not be available until the end of the year due to later assessment administration for Spring.
- PBIS- Attendance: Overall seeing a decrease in number of absences when compared to 2023-2024 school year
- Expenditures
- Getting a quote to have a trophy case built
- A book vending machine was placed in the hallway – it is part of our Tiger Pride PBIS reward incentive program.
- Continue discussion about elementary-level Chromebook filtering and access options

- On the CSD Survey the SCC selected Option 1: No Change. Filtering practices at the elementary level should remain the same. If parents want more restrictive settings, they can request the service for their own children.
- On the CSD survey the SCC selected NO to limiting students’ access to their accounts after school hours and on weekends.
- On the CSD survey the SCC added the following points for discussion
- Give access to LAN school or something similar to substitutes
- Needs of K-2 and 3-5; Can we consider these differently in term of filtering
- Can we make the Acceptable Use document more visible or explicit – it gets lost during registration.
- Make information about parent restrictions more easily accessible.
- Consider incorporating instruction to parents about children’s digital footprints and safety online during STEM night.
- A short video or instructions for students, parents and teachers about what a digital footprint is and how to notice it would be helpful.
- On the CSD survey the SCC added the following information to share:
- Continued training with students with a stronger emphasis about digital footprints and the impact of your actions online.
- Any School Safety Report Action Items?
- Action Items have been completed:
- Rubber mat was replaced on the playground.
- Advocating for a fence around the fields – catwalk has helped direct people away from the fields
- Continuing to work on drop-off and pick-up – reteaching and monitoring adult behavior during drop-off and pick-up. Pick-up has reduced to ten minutes
- Advocating for more SRO support – continue to advocate
- Action Items have been completed:
- Additional school climate updates or principal Report
- Audit of SCC information and SCC information on the website to happen in the Fall
- Request for cell tower funds to roll over to the Principal Discretionary funds (approved by SCC)
- Next Meeting Wed, May 21, if needed. Motion to cancel approved.
