Good evening Ridgecrest families,
We have a lot going this week. Please read the PTA information below as they are sponsoring many of our events this week. Look for information on Veteran’s Day, the food drive, College and Career Week and Lost and Found.
Are you in need of some support? We are wondering if we have some of our own Ridgecrest families that could benefit from our food drive donations this week? If your family is in need of support, please reach out to me so we can arrange to get food to you. Julia.winfree@canyonsdistrict.org
We’re celebrating College and Career Week this week. We’re keeping it simple this year, teachers will include some conversations about College and Career Awareness in their morning meetings. Teachers will be wearing college gear on Thursday (students are welcome to join!) and we will have our Virtual Career Day on Friday.
We have a lot of lost and found again. We have had it out for the students to pick up for a week. If your student is missing a coat or sweatshirt, feel free to come in and look through the lost and found or encourage your child to look. It is laid out right by the lunchroom doors and students walk by it a few times a day. We will donate it on Wednesday.
PTA Information:
- Please return completed Veteran’s Day forms to school. We will create a display at the school. VeteransWallInformationForm.pdf
- Our Food Drive is this week! To add an element of friendly competition, 2 large boxes will be set up near the office. Students can put their donations into the box of the college they prefer: BYU or U of U. Food Drive Flyer.jpg We are asking for items like peanut butter, tuna, canned beans, pasta, macaroni and cheese (boxes and/or cups); canned soups, granola bars, cereal, fruits/veggies in cans or cups, and snacks.
- ALL PTA members are invited to a General PTA Membership Meeting on Monday, November 15, at 8:45am. It will be very brief. - We have a limited supply of T-shirts ($10), hoodies ($20, only 1 youth XS left), and adjustable baseball hats ($10) available. https://www.ridgecrestelementarypta.org/t-shirt-and-sweatshirt-orders.html has pictures of the items. Email ridgecrest1pta@gmail.com to request items. Emails will be responded to in the order received. Please label items with your child’s name.
