Monthly Meeting Agenda

  • Call to Order 4:10
      •  In attendance: Sara Allen, Anna Whiteley, Taylor Sicard, Natalee Thomas, Jessica Warther, Sammy Fan, Carrie Christensen, Bill Fox (phone), Dallin Toews (phone), Chris Hettich (computer)
      • Excused: Matt Holton, Fengmin Li
  • Previous Meeting Minutes Approved
  • Continue drafting and reviewing plans for next school year: (Due April 12th)
    • TSSP:  
      • Goal 1: Reading 
        • Kindergarten: At least 70% of students will be above benchmark on NWF_CLS according to Acadience testing
        • 1st and 2nd: At least 80% of students will be at or above benchmark on ALO Spring ORF with at least 65% of students who score below or well below benchmark making typical or higher growth.
        • 3rd – 5th: At least 70% will be at or above proficient and/or grow at least one proficiency level by the Spring RISE ELA benchmark
      • Goal 2: Math
        • By Spring 2027, at least 70.67% of K-5th grade students will be proficient or above on Spring 2027 District Wide Standards Based Assessments (DWSBA)
    • Land Trust
    • Positive Behavior Plan:
      • Goal 3: PBIS/Attendance
        • By Spring 2027, we will increase the percentage of students who are on track with attendance to 70% each term, as measured by Early Warning Systems (EWS).
      • Adding to hire an additional recess aide for next year in the action plan.
  • Review to ensure we are on course with Current Year’s:
    •  LAND Trust Plan
    • Data 
      • 4th and 5th grade made growth on RISE.
      • 56% of students who are below benchmark have made at least 1 level of proficiency growth.
    • Expenditures
      • We are about where we need to be on spending.
      • Have extra funding that can either extend the spring planning day for teachers to a full day, or have BLT extend for a full day instead of half day.
      • Every kid will be sent home with a mindful tool. Mindfulness Week will be the first week of March. This includes encouraging kindness, using breathing strategies when overwhelmed. 
        • Sending home a note with this may help parents understand what this is for.
  • Bella Vista/Ridgecrest Transition Team Report
    • The Brain Booster team is staying the same except for the art instructional technician.
    • New carpet creating issues with moving items in the school.
      • The wet areas outside of classrooms will now have carpet.
    • There will be a brand refresh
      • There is a survey link along with digital concepts on ideas for logo design
      • Feedback due by March 16th
    • Continue to include Bella Vista families to PTA community nights
  • Additional school climate updates or principal Report
      • Still waiting on applications for 3rd grade aide
  • Next Meeting Wed., March. 25th
