Ridgecrest Roar – September 26, 2021

RIDGECREST ROAR      Sept 26, 2021

Good evening Ridgecrest families,

I hope you were able to enjoy some of fall weather during this three-day weekend.  I wanted to reach out and thank the parents for attending Parent Teacher Conferences last week, we had a great turnout!  I also wanted to thank the PTA for providing meals to our staff for two nights, it is greatly appreciated and we always feel so spoiled!   The PTA has been so busy providing amazing experiences over the last few weeks. From a successful back to school week, the Fundraiser, the Fun Run, book fair and teacher meals, we couldn’t do it without you!  Thank you!

School Pictures are Monday, tomorrow!  A few parents have asked if the photographer will take their toddler’s picture. The answer is yes.  We would like all toddlers to come around the noon hour.  Here is the flyer if you still need it.  Ridgecrest ES Fall 21 E-Flyer.pdf

Are you looking for a fun way to get involved at Ridgecrest?  In the past, we’ve had a volunteer opportunity called Watch Dog Dads, we are shifting that to Playful Parents and focusing on volunteering during lunch recess. This can happen any day from 11:55-1:15. We will have a meeting/training on Friday, October 1st from 4:00-4:30 where we’ll teach you a few favorite recess games so that you can help us engage students in safe and fun play. You’ll also be able to sign up for days to volunteer. Please email Allie Teller if you would like to volunteer at recess and can participate in the meeting on October 1st at: allie.teller@canyonsdistrict.org

If you plan to be a Playful Parent, you will need to fill out a Volunteer application.  A new one needs to be filled out each year. https://foundation.canyonsdistrict.org/volunteer/
